Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect personal data, including data handled through this website.
1. Who we are
Cornerstone Capital Ventures Limited (company number 16114876), registered office 124 City Road, London, United Kingdom, EC1V 2NX ("Lumentis Global", "we", "us", "our") operates this website at lumentis.global. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at contact@lumentis.global.
2. What data we collect
This site is a marketing website for a content production agency. It does not have user accounts, a shopping cart, payment processing or a contact form, so the amount of personal data we collect through it is limited.
Data you give us directly. If you email us at contact@lumentis.global or call the phone number listed on our Contact page, we receive whatever information you choose to include, typically your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where a working relationship follows, to correspond with you about it.
Data collected automatically. Our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically logs standard technical information for every visit, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and pages viewed. This is standard practice for any website and is used for security, diagnosing technical issues and understanding overall site performance. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors.
Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font file involves your browser making a request to Google's servers, which will process your IP address as part of that request. See our Cookie Notice for more detail.
Analytics. We plan to introduce Google Analytics to help us understand how the site is used, but it is not live yet. A cookie consent banner is already in place: an analytics cookie will only ever be set once you've clicked Accept, and you can withdraw that consent at any time via the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. See our Cookie Notice for full detail.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries sent to us by email or phone.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
- To comply with our legal obligations, for example responding to a valid request from a regulator.
Where we process personal data you send us directly, our lawful basis is legitimate interest, being the interest in responding to enquiries about our services and maintaining a working relationship with prospective and existing clients. Where we process technical data automatically collected by our hosting provider, our lawful basis is legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and functioning correctly.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share limited data with the following third parties, each acting as a processor on our behalf or as an independent service we rely on to run this website:
- Netlify, our website hosting provider, which processes standard server logs as part of delivering the site to your browser.
- Google, which serves the Space Grotesk and Archivo typefaces used on this site (Google Fonts), and which will serve Google Analytics once introduced.
- Namecheap Private Email, which hosts the mailbox for contact@lumentis.global.
5. International data transfers
Google and Netlify are based in, or operate infrastructure in, the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK or European Economic Area, we rely on the safeguards these providers have in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to ensure your data continues to be protected to UK standards.
6. How long we keep your data
We keep email correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to manage our relationship with you and for our own record-keeping, and delete it when it's no longer needed. Server logs held by Netlify are retained according to Netlify's own standard retention periods, not set by us.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances.
- Ask us to restrict how we use your data.
- Object to us processing your data on the basis of legitimate interest.
- Ask for your data to be provided to you or another organisation in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@lumentis.global. You also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk.
8. Children's privacy
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal data we handle, but no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we introduce new features such as Google Analytics. We will update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when we do.
